American Express Announces Change to Late Fee Policy

This announcement is of particular interest to employees/cardholders/former cardholders of the Oklahoma State University American Express Corporate Card, or who may have outstanding balances on their American Express account as a result of previous usage of this card. University Accounting has received notification from American Express regarding a change to its late fee policy as relates to the American Express Corporate Card.

 

Announcement

“Effective with billing statements with a closing date on and after May 2, 2007, American Express will charge a flat fee of $29 on delinquent amounts at approximately 45 days past due. The existing fee of the greater of $29 or 2.99% on delinquent amounts at approximately 60, 90, 120, etc. days past due will remain unchanged. The change to the late fee policy will affect all U. S. Corporate Card accounts…”
